Description:

Join Ambrose professors Dr. Jonathan Lo and Dr. Rob Snow as your expert guides on an immersive 9-day educational journey throughout Greece. With the beautiful landscapes of Greece as your classroom, follow the Apostle Paul as he proclaims the gospel of Jesus into uncharted territory. Visit the most important sites connected to Paul on his second missionary journey, experience the history, language, and culture of a civilization that has profoundly shaped both the ancient and modern world, and marvel as the New Testament texts come alive as they never have before.

  • PARTICIPATE in daily devotions, mini-lectures, and educational activities while taking in amazing scenery, culture, and cuisine

What is an Educational Travel Study? 

Educational Travel Study
Educational travel study means any trip (e.g., a Travel Study or other similar trip) offered for educational credit at Ambrose or otherwise offered by an academic program or sanctioned by Ambrose, involving Ambrose students, and including at least one overnight stay. This definition applies both to international and domestic educational travel. This applies to all Ambrose sanctioned educational travel study, offered through academic programs, with the exception of:

  • Travel related to Internship programs
  • Research-related travel with a faculty member
  • Athletic team travel and student leadership travel

*This course is offered at both seminary (NT 665) and undergraduate (REL 304) levels and is available to be taken for credit or audit. The course is open to all Ambrose student, Ambrose alumni and any guests.

Thursday May 21  Thessaloniki-Berea, Kalambaka (Meteora)
Friday May 22   Meteora-Delphi
Saturday May 23   Delphi-Athens  
Sunday May 24   Athens 
Monday May 25   Corinth, Cenchrea, Athens 
Tuesday May 26  Athens
Wednesday May 27 Transfer to Athens Airport for flight to Calgary

Costs

In addition to any tuition and program fees, trip costs include:

  • Return airfare to Greece from Calgary
  • Land transportation within Greece
  • Accommodations for 9 evenings
  • Daily breakfasts and 9 dinners
  • Entrance fees to museums and historical sites

Travelling as part of a Travel Study course lets you fully engage the academic experience—earning credit or auditing while immersing yourself in the places you’re studying. This is the most complete way to connect learning, community, and travel in one intentional journey.

Seminary Students

For Credit: $1,350 CAD + $5,000 USD (Double Occupancy) / $6,050 USD (Single Room)

Audit: $1,300 CAD + $5,000 USD (Double Occupancy) / $6,050 USD (Single Room)

Undergraduate Students

For Credit: $1,300 CAD + $5,000 USD (Double Occupancy) / $6,050 USD (Single Room)

Audit: $1,250 CAD + $5,000 USD (Double Occupancy) / $6,050 USD (Single Room)

Take the Trip (No Course)


A new option is available for those who want to join the Travel Study group without registering for the academic course. You’ll share in the itinerary, guided visits, and community experience, but you will not receive academic credit or an audit designation.

Participant Rates

Double Occupancy: $250 CAD (program fee) + $5,000 USD

Single Room: $250 CAD (program fee) + $6,050 USD
