Position Summary

The Director of Community Events plans and facilitates events such as Kick-Off and the Amby's and works to create a thriving community on campus. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate and to plan student social functions including, but not limited to, Welcome Week, Fall Kick-Off, Coffeehouses, The Amby's, and Year End festivities.

  • To plan informal student events as desired by the presiding Student Association.

  • To appoint and to determine the duties of an Assistant.

  • To liaise with the VP of Ambrose's Student Life to ensure effective communication and engagement in the campus-wide community.

  • To attend the Fall and Winter Student Leadership Retreats.

  • To attend ASC meetings as outlined in the job contract.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to: ASC President

Job Standards and Requirements:

  • Minimum CGPA of 2.00
  • Be enrolled in a minimum of three (3) credit hours at Ambrose per semester.
  • Any previous experience with event planning & coordination will be considered an asset.

Traits & Attitudes:

Sociable, organized, good delegator, independent, creative and upbeat.

Compensation: Determined by Constitution (3.0% of SA Fees)
