Transfer Credit Agreements

Transfer Credit Agreements

Ambrose University College is a member of the Alberta Council on Admissions and Transfer (ACAT).  ACAT publishes the transfer agreements that member institutions negotiate with each other in the annual Alberta Transfer Guide. These agreements specify how courses will be accepted for credit by the partner institutions in ACAT (some partner institutions include the University of Calgary, the University of Alberta, and the University of Lethbridge, as well as a number of other institutions in Alberta). Alberta Transfer Mini-guide for Ambrose University College transferability

The complete 2007-2008 Alberta Transfer Guide is available online at http://www.acat.gov.ab.ca/.

Important Information:

  • This guide is not exclusive. That is to say, additional courses may transfer to partner institutions, even if an agreement is not specified in the Transfer Guide. This Transfer Guide serves as a guarantee for the specific courses listed.  Please be aware that the decision to award transfer credit ultimately lies with the receiving institution.  Receiving institutions often have a minimum grade requirement for transfer credits.
  • Effective May 1, 2007, Ambrose University College assumed all transfer agreements formerly held by Alliance University College and Nazarene University College. The 2007-2008 Alberta Transfer Guide was published before this merger took place; thus, it lists Alliance University College and Nazarene University College in the Guide separately instead of Ambrose University College.
