Program Planning Guide

The Master of Arts (Christian Studies) degree is to provide students, who are not seeking to enter the professional career ministry, with an opportunity to attain a survey knowledge of the disciplines of Old Testament, New Testament and theological studies.  Dependent upon a student's previous knowledge of these disciplines and a student's particular interests the degree may provide an opportunity for focus in a specific discipline or even emphasize the inter-disciplinary aspects of these disciplines and the giftedness of the student.

The design of this program is specifically not intended to prepare persons for professional career ministry and therefore this degree program will not require an internship.

Total Credits: 60

Ministry Outcome: Pursue a deeper knowledge of the Scriptures and theology as it relates to your personal calling in the church and marketplace. This degree is ideal for those serving in lay ministry. If you are seeking professional pastoral training it is recommended you consider our Master of Divinity program.
