Intercultural Studies

Ministry Programs

Our professional ministry programs prepare you for ministry in an ever-changing culture. We are driven by the desire to see students develop morally, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually to lead the church. Receive a solid grounding in your faith. Prepare to serve in the church and society.

Our Program

Intercultural Studies is designed to prepare students to effectively live and witness the grace of God in Jesus in the intercultural context of the contemporary world. Bridge a variety of cultural and social barriers, and provide an authentic witness of the Gospel to every cultural group.

Field Education

Unique to all ministry programs at Ambrose is Field Education – the integration of classroom teaching with supervised field experience. While our Field Education includes active ministry engagement in a practicum site, the purpose is to learn to reflect on that experience, making theological and biblical connections in class and then going back into the practicum site to improve ministry practice.

onSite

onSite is a 7 to 10 month international internship where students immerse themselves in another cultural setting. onSite includes local language training, study of the local history and culture, extensive training and involvement in cross-cultural ministry, and living with a national family. onSite is open to both Ministry and Arts & Science students and can count for up to 21 credits for the 7 to 10 months the student is gone.
