Chinese Ministries at Ambrose

China was experiencing its 8th dynasty when Jesus was born. The country's rich history has produced a strong culture. Today, the Chinese way of life is continuing its story in North America and understanding this is essential for effective leadership.

Ambrose Seminary offers two key programs in Chinese Ministries:

Certificate in Chinese Ministries
Total Credits: 15

Ambrose offers this unique program in collaboration with the Canadian Chinese Alliance Churches Association. The program studies the church, theology, and missions from a Chinese perspective, as well as pastoring and conflict management within the North American Chinese church. It includes an introduction to counselling, teaching and disciple-making. You'll learn to interpret scripture for preaching and teaching, and grow in your leadership skills.

The core courses are offered in Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa and Toronto, and are relevant for community leaders, seminary students and ordained pastors.

A number of the courses are taught in Cantonese and you can apply the courses in the Certificate towards the Diploma in Leadership and Ministry (Chinese Ministry Focus).

Diploma in Leadership and Ministry (Chinese Ministry Focus)

This diploma is designed for lay ministers as well as people aspiring to lay ministry. Assuming you meet the admission requirements, it can also be applied in full towards a Master of Arts in Leadership and Ministry degree.
