Nazarene Ordination After-degree Certificate
Ministry Programs
Our professional ministry programs prepare you for ministry in an ever-changing culture. We are drive by the desire to see students develop morally, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually to lead the church. Receive a solid grounding in your faith. Prepare to serve in the church and society.
Our Program
The Ordination After-Degree Certificate builds on the education in Bible, theology and general studies a student receives in the Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies (concentration) program. In the certificate program students take the applied studies courses that give a pastor the tools for effective ministry.
This certificate program is accredited by the International and Regional Course of Study Approval Committees of the Church of the Nazarene. The courses in the program are also accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).
Field Education
Unique to all ministry programs at Ambrose is Field Education – the integration of classroom teaching with supervised field experience. While our Field Education includes active ministry engagement in a practicum site, the purpose is to learn to reflect on that experience, making theological and biblical connections in class and then going back into the practicum site to improve ministry practice.
