Sending your son or daughter off to university isn't always easy! We are here to help you with the transition as well as to get your son or daughter set up for the year. There are events during Orientation specifically for you as parents.  A Parent's Lounge will be open all day Thursday and Friday if you would like a place to sit, get some refreshments and wait while your child is registering or on a tour.  Thursday evening there will be a reception hosted by the President of Ambrose University College.  On Friday the Parent Orientation swings into full gear, with tours, information sessions and an optional parent activity.  Parent Orientation is a great place to meet other parents, get informed about your child's education and see our new campus.

Thursday, September 11^th is Residence Move In Day!

9:00 am            Residence Move In

All day             Parent's Lounge

The Parent and Family Lounge is an area set apart for you to go and relax while your student is registering or participating in other orientation events.  It will also be open all day Friday.

6:30 pm            President's Reception

This will be an informal reception at the campus.  It will be a chance to learn about Ambrose University College and to meet the members of our senior administration along with other parents and families of new students.

Friday, September 12^th is Parent & Family Orientation Day!

Parent Orientation starts at the same time as student orientation.  The parent lounge will open all day Friday between sessions.

9:00 am            Parent Check-In & Welcome

9:30 am            Parent's Tour

See the campus that your child will be spending their college career at.  This will give you as a parent a chance to visualize the place your child will be spending so much of their time at as well as talking about.  This will also be a chance to learn more about the multiple services offered for your kids to succeed here at Ambrose.

10:45 am          Parent Orientation Panel

Hear from various members of our faculty and student services department on a wide range of topics related to your child's success as an Ambrose student.  Then enjoy the opportunity to ask our panel questions. 

12:00 pm          Lunch

We will break for lunch.  Lunch can be purchased in the Ambrose cafeteria.

1:00 pm            The Life of an Ambrose Student: A parent's guide

Parents will hear from various student services professionals about what to expect their student to experience: from the first month of high energy, to the intense time of studying for exams.  Also, some sharing about how you as a parent can help your child succeed through campus involvement and accessing student services.

2:00 pm            Parent's of Res Student's

Parents of Ambrose Students will hear from our residence director about residence life, and have a tour of the residence facilities.  They will also hear about the meal plan and nutrutional informational available.  As well as how to send care packages to their son or daughter living on campus.

3:00 pm            Last minute Registration and Tuition Payment

If students haven't registered or paid, this is the last time available before the beginning of classes.  This time can also be used to help your child set up their dorm room or finish off any miscellanous task before you depart.

4:00 pm            Parent Good-bye

This is the end of our parent program.  This will be a time of tears and hugs in front of the residence to say goodbye to your son or daughter.  The remainder of orientation is for students only and the residence is now closed to everyone who is not staying there for the semester. 

Saturday, September 13^th

This is our games day for students and there are no activities for parents on this day.
