Occupation of the New Campus
With the move now imminent from the downtown campus to the new campus on Calgary's West side, so is the reality of deadlines. Occupancy of the library building will begin in early July with the library collection on the main level and academic administration and faculty offices on the second level. Ambrose has sold some of its current library shelving and other items to Rocky Mountain College and Alberta Bible College to make way for the new compact shelving currently being installed.
The student residence is partially completed and somewhat behind schedule. The downtown residence was closed down April 30 and the furniture is being stored in containers at the new campus until it is moved into the new residence. Early in June armoires (dresser/closet) arrived and were moved into the residence. Lounge furniture, refrigerators and other items will be added over the summer.
The music area is scheduled for completion by July 15. The music equipment and offices will be moved as soon as the library and faculty office move is completed.
The 1st floor of the academic centre, including classrooms, food services and food court, is scheduled to be ready for set up about July 21. Business and administration offices will be moved July 31 and ready for customers August 5 at 8 AM pending receipt of the Occupancy Permit.
The 2nd floor of the academic centre is scheduled to be completed early in August. Areas included are the biology lab and offices, Student Services, Senior Administration, most classrooms and the computer commons.
Web, Email and Phone Access
Web access, computer access and phone access will be down from July 30 - August 4, 2008 in order to give Ambrose IT personnel time to move the servers and other equipment to the new campus. IT will work diligently to have everything up and functioning for August 5, including individual computer connections and phones. Priority will be given to reception, enrolment, registrar, and finance in order to resume service to the public as soon as possible.
Commercial Joint Venture
We are waiting the release of the development permit for the Commercial Joint Venture and anticipate work beginning on the project this fall with Elan as the contractor.
Cell Tower
A cell tower contract will be signed shortly for a tower at the back of our campus site. This will be a revenue source for Ambrose.

September 6 Student Leaders arrive on campus
September 10 Returning Students arrive
September 11 New Student Orientation
September 15 First day of classes
