Enrolment Update: Application Trend Encouraging
June 16, 2008 - The enrolment department is busy processing applications and preparing for early registration, even as boxes are being stacked-up in anticipation of the move.
The excitement of the new name and new campus is encouraging students to take a serious look at Ambrose as a university option. The enrolment team has seen a 4-6 percent increase in applications compared to the same time last year and anticipates meeting their goal of 200 new students for September.
"Students seem more serious about coming to Ambrose," Lisa Kelly, Enrolment Coordinator said. "We can tell this by the amount of students completing the application process earlier. It has been very encouraging."
The Arts & Science programs have more then doubled in the past 3 years. The new Bachelor of Science: Biology Major, launching this fall, is creating a lot of excitement and resulting in applications.
The team is also getting prepared to host this year's Early Registration day on June 27. This event is an opportunity for students who are admitted to Ambrose to visit the new campus. The day consists of meeting faculty and staff, registering for classes, getting a new campus tour and an overview of student life for the fall.
To RSVP to Early Registration Day contact the Enrolment Department.
