February 25, 2008 - Paul Evans, Assistant Professor of Christian Studies at Ambrose, was recently asked to join the steering committee of the Ancient Historiography Seminar of the Canadian Society of Biblical Studies.

The purpose of the Ancient Historiography Seminar is to advance the study of ancient historiography within the Canadian Society of Biblical Studies and the broader biblical studies and ancient Near Eastern studies communities. While not limited to biblical texts, the seminar brings comparative material to bear on the understanding of the historiographic texts of the Bible.

Paul has presented papers at the seminar and one of his contributions will be included in its first publication, an edited volume of essays.
