Presidential Transition
Alex Baum, Chair of the Ambrose Board of Governors
I offer you warm greetings from Ambrose University College
This is a summer of excitement and hard work at Ambrose. As I write our staff and faculty are busy preparing our facility for classes in September. The campus is beautiful and I hope you will be able to join us in November when we officially commission it.
President Durance, who has entered the final year of his current four year contract, has indicated to us that he will be stepping down from his presidential role to return to international missionary service. We are truly grateful for Dr. Durance's leadership through this historic chapter of growth at Ambrose University College. God has displayed again his blessing on us through Dr Durance's faithfulness to His service.
He has asked that I communicate to you his undiminished loyalty to Ambrose and support for its vision, board of governors, faculty and staff. Later in the year the Ambrose community will formally thank him for his twelve-year contribution.
In the near future you will hear from me regarding the search we have launched to find a candidate for the position of president. In the meantime we have asked Dr. Durance to continue as president through this year to provide leadership and sustained momentum. He will do so with the assurance of the full support of the board of governors as we finish implementing the initatives introduced during his tenure and enter into the preliminary stages of a new strategic plan.
Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
Alex Baum
