April 15, 2008 - Dr. Coulter would like to see Ambrose students involved in the ministry of the Church of the Nazarene in Bangladesh through the onSite program, which places students in a cross-cultural setting for six to nine months to give them experience that prepares them to serve as missionaries.

Ambrose Co-President Dr. Riley Coulter, National Director of The Church of the Nazarene Canada Rev. Clair MacMillan, and the Director of Nazarene Compassionate Ministry Canada Mrs. Elaine Bumstead, recently toured the Nazarene district in Bagladesh. Through the partnership with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank and Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Canada, Nazarenes have funded infrastructure projects that have directly impacted the significant growth of the church.

Under the leadership of District Superintendent Nathan Biswas over the past 15 years, the Church of the Nazarene in Bangladesh has grown to 750 churches - with each of the churches having a "child development initiative" according to Mrs. Bumstead.

onSite would bring Ambrose students into this exciting fusion of church planting and holistic ministry.
