CONTINUING EDUCATION:

Church Relations is thrilled with some of the new partnerships that we are working on these days. Those partnerships in continuing education really do effect you and those that you minister with and ministry to. In brief let me highlight these potential opportunities as follows:

Foundations For Ministry: In conjunction with the Alliance National Ministry Centre and each of the Districts, Ambrose is working on a minimum of five courses that would be offered in different regions of the country. These courses would be part of an accreditation process for mature lay workers that would engage in active paid ministry in the local church.

Life Long Learning: We are participating with the NMC in a process of putting together a voluntary life long learning opportunity for every person in ministry within the CMA.

Local Church Education: Some of our churches have put together a quality education track for their own people and in some cases those in a given area of churches. Ambrose is working with these churches to see how we can support and strengthen their Training Programs.

Other Venues: This is a new day of opportunity, encouragement and support. Ambrose is willing to look at other models on continuing education that are taking place outside of the formal University College setting.

DISTRICT MINISTRIES:

After being in three Alliance District Prayer Retreats and one Nazarene District Leadership Training event this past month, it is very obvious that the Lord has called out some gifted and very special people to serve in district leadership. The way in which each of these leaders gives leadership to their district ministries is commendable and so very exciting. Each of these events was a demonstration of the quality of excellence. As a result we are a blessed people.
