June 12, 2008 - Ambrose Faculty, Staff and Students are smiling at the news that the west leg of the LRT will go forward as planned.  The announcement was made by Calgary City Hall after significant debate about the impact on neighbourhoods through which the line will pass.  In the end, the decision to run the line through to 69^th St. SW was based on the number of riders that will be serviced by the west leg including those from Ambrose.  

Rundle College, and the site of the proposed public high school, both located at the north edge of the Ambrose campus, will also benefit from the station which will be situated adjacent to all three institutions.

The route starts downtown, following Bow Trail at ground level and ending across the street from the Ambrose Campus at 17^th Ave. and 69 St. SW. The route is expected to be finished by 2012.
