Ambrose Residence Adds Value to Student's Experience
Supporting Lesly's dream of heading to Ambrose to take the Bachelor of Children's Ministries program was made much easier knowing that she would be living in the new Ambrose residence.
As a mom, Jewel Kelly believes residence is "Very important to the first year experience. Students get more of a connection to the campus." Lesly's dad Sean feels that moving her into the residence is a very positive decision. "Being right there means you are more likely to get involved in extra curricular activities; it's a win-win situation for both Lesly and the college." Lesly is excited about residence and sees it as a
chance to build relationships. "I don't know too many students going in, so it will be a great place to meet people. I always wanted to live in residence after seeing my sister's experience."
Her older sister Lisa spent three years in residence including one as a Residence Assistant (RA). She looks back on the experience as very formative on her life. "During my RA year I was surprised by how much I grew even though I expected that I would just be helping others."
Now it's Lesly's turn to experience the personal and spiritual growth that happens in our residence. Ambrose is committed to providing such a life-changing experience for students and believes that it is worth funding. You can make a gift now to make this experience a reality.
The financial support of donors help fund campus operations that makes possible the rich experience that Lesly and other residence students enjoy.
For Lesly, residence is especially important since she has a mild form of cerebral palsy that creates certain challenges. Ambrose Learning Services worked with the residence staff to ensure that she has a room on the first floor that doesn't have bunk beds. This kind of personal attention in the residence enhances student experience and leads to greater success.
Lesly's goal is to be in children's ministry. Her education at Ambrose will prepare her to fulfill this calling. A critical part of that education is the residence. Those interested can help her and her fellow students achieve their dreams by supporting the residence program and giving right now to the annual operating fund. A gift to this fund helps Ambrose provide the programs and services to students that help them grow and develop spiritually, academically, and socially.
The Ambrose residence is filled with students like Lesly who have come from so many places to gain the education they will need to change our world for Jesus Christ. For each of them, that preparation begins before they even set foot in the classroom.
Gifts to the Ambrose operating fund help provide the residence environment that is an important part of their learning process.
Please make a gift today to support the operating fund and our residence program.
