August 4 2008 - Ambrose's VP Advancement Gordon Dirks is pleased to announce that the Vital Link Foundation has now donated one million dollars to the Campaign for Ambrose. The foundation recently followed up a gift of $500,000 made last fall with a second $500,000. The million dollars is the largest gift received by the campaign so far.

John Traber who serves as the head of the foundation is committed to the vision of Ambrose.

"The board of Vital Link is pleased to increase support for this initiative to build a first-class Christian university in Calgary. Now more than ever we need a university of academic quality based on Christian values."

The million dollar gift was made  from Newell estate funds in memory of Archie Newell.  Ambrose and the Vital Link Foundation are determining a suitable naming opportunity to recognize Mr. Newell through the gift.
