Futsal Teams Open Season with wins over Olds College and PBC
On December 11, the Lions opened the Futsal season in successful fashion with a sweep of Olds College and Prairie Bible College.
The Lions women were led by keeper Captain Kelly McGregor who played outstanding making big saves at key moments. The women had wins of 5 -3 over Prairie Bible College and 3 -1 over Olds College.
The men were paced by 2nd year forward Andrae Koschewski who scored 6 goals while leading the team to convincing wins of 7 - 3 against Olds College and 8 - 2 against Prairie Bible College. Most of Andrae's goals were set up by his line mate, Phil Seutter as the two Lions dominated the floor.
The teams will play their home openers on January 15 when they host cross-town rival St. Mary's University College Lightening.
