Debbie Fortnum Wins GMA Covenant Award Instrumental Song of the Year
January 28, 2008 - In October 2007, Debbie (Knighton) Fortnum (CBC ‘90) won the GMA Covenant Award Instrumental Song of the Year for her Instrumental song, Easter Morning Sunrise, from her new CD called The Beautiful Piano. The CD also received a GMA Covenant Award Nomination for Instrumental Album of the Year. The album is being re-released on February 26, 2008 throughout Canada via D2/ Fontana North/ Universal Records. Debbie would appreciate your prayers for the following:
(1) her missionary endeavors as her music begins to infiltrate the instrumental/new age market, bringing the light of Christ into hearts and homes. One of her reviews reads, "Debbie always seems to find a way to engage so many people in what is happening around the world. Her support to the victims of the tsunami, earthquakes, hurricanes, and flooding has been substantial. Only God knows how many lives were touched by her ministry."
(2) as she tours on the weekends while Scott (CBC ‘89) finishes his Masters and shares responsibilities with the kids.
(3) as both she and Scott minister alongside churches in both worship, preaching, and evangelistic contexts this year.
