Behavioural Science Grad to Study Women in the Labour Force
Kristen Desjarlais (NUC ‘06), received a graduate student scholarship valued at $17,500 from Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) to do thesis research over the course of this next year. Kristen will be examining how women's increased participation in the paid labour force affected both church attendance and social capital as a whole, over the last twenty years. Kristen is working on the project with sociologist Reginald Bibby at the University of Lethbridge. She recently worked as the Education Coordinator at the Mustard Seed Street Ministry in Calgary and taught a session course at Ambrose.
