Rhonda (Giesbrecht) Draper, who attended CBC from '84-'85, won the 2007 Governor General's Award for Excellence in Teaching History. She has been working as a teacher and music specialist with elementary aged children in Kelowna, British Columbia. The CD, which led to this award, can be ordered at www.rhondadraper.com. Rhonda's husband Bruce Draper (CBC '91) works with those who have sustained brain injuries through work related circumstances. Their children are Dylan (12) and Emily (10), both of whom performed narration and sang on the CD.
