First Ambrose Graduation on New Campus
Fifty-seven students graduated with BA degrees in Arts & Science, twenty-three with degrees and diplomas in undergraduate ministry and twenty-five with degrees and diplomas from Ambrose Seminary. Eleven students graduated with the MA in Counseling granted by Providence Seminary.
The event marked the conclusion of Dr. George Durance's term as president. In honour of his leadership over the past twelve years Dr. Durance was elected by the Board of Governors to the position of President Emeritus. He also brought the graduation address.
The previous evening the graduates, family, faculty and administration gathered for the Baccalaureate Service. The Baccalaureate sermon was preached by Dr. Marvin Fritzler and valedictorians Sarah Poffenroth (undergraduate) and Elias Munshya (seminary) spoke on behalf of the graduating students.
The graduation weekend fittingly concluded the initial academic year on the new Ambrose campus.
