Q - What is the Foundations for Ministry Certificate?
A - The FMC is relevant and practical instruction for men and women engaged in ministry across Canada.

Q - Who is the Foundations for Ministry Certificate for?
A - The FMC is for Church workers and lay individuals involved in ministry.

Q - When and where will the Foundations for Ministry Certificate be offered?
A - The FMC will be offered twice a year in each of five regions across Canada.

Q - What format is the Foundations for Ministry Certificate?
A - The FMC will be Seminar-style courses involving 10 hours of instruction, plus 30 hours of additional reading and written work.

Q - How much will the Foundations for Ministry Certificate cost?
A - The cost of the FMC will be $250.00 per course for credit. ($50.00 per course to audit)

A - Contact your District Office directly for information on the courses coming to your area or on how to get a course offered in your church.

Participants take a total of five courses across at least three different areas of study:

The five areas of study are:
1. Understanding the Bible
2. The Christian Faith
3. Personal Formation and Development
4. Foundations of Ministry
5. Mission and Evangelism

Instructors:
Full time Ambrose faculty and select ministry professionals

Level of Instruction and Transfer:
Courses are aimed at adult learners and are assessed on a
pass/fail basis.  Syllabi are available (below) one month prior to course offering.

Participants who wish to continue their studies at Ambrose, and who are accepted into one of its seminary programs, will be granted 1 elective credit hour for each Foundations for Ministry course completed, up to a maximum of 6 credits.

Note:
In addition to these five areas of study, individuals wishing to be credentialed for ministry in The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada are required to complete the course "Alliance History and Thought" at either the undergraduate or seminary levels.
