Residence and Meal Plan Fees
The new Ambrose student residence is fitted for 146 students in double and triple occupancy rooms. Rooms are equipped with a bed, desk, chair and closet space for each student. A bathroom will be shared between each suite. Students share a private lounge space equipped with soft seating, two refrigerators, a kitchen sink, cabinets, and a microwave.
This residence was built with safety and security in mind and boasts programmable proximity card-access systems, security cameras in the public areas, a single monitored entrance, and glazed stairwells with 24-hour lighting. The residence basement offers student computers, recreational space, cable television, laundry facilities, student storage space, and a bookable kitchen for special occassions.
All residence students are required to participate in the meal plan supplied by our professional food-services team supporting healthy living and a busy academic schedule. The meals are served in the main campus building with a good variety of healthy and popular choices. Residence and meal plans are required for first- and second-year students attending Ambrose from outside of Calgary.

The $375 deposit will be held as a non-refundable Room Reservation Deposit. The deposit will become your damage deposit once you move into residence. In order to receive a refund, students planning on not living in the residence for the fall semester must notify the Residence Director in writing prior to August 1st. In order to receive a refund, students planning on not returning to the residence for the January semester must notify the Residence Director of their withdrawal in writing prior to the last day of the December classes.
Residence Refunds
Students fully withdrawing from Ambrose University College or being asked to leave the residence due to misconduct will be held to the same financial arrangements as previously stated (see Tuition and Residence Refunds).
Residence students, by way of the Residence Contract, agree to enter a four month lease. Exceptions will be made for individuals who give the Residence Director written notice of moving prior to the end of the first month. These students will be allowed to occupy the residence until the end of the second month and will receive an appropriate damage deposit refund and a 50% residence refund.
