Ambrose—Extension Education
In partnership with our churches Ambrose—Extension Education is dedicated to providing the very best in theological education to pastors and lay leaders across Canada.
What is Ambrose Extension Education?
Extension education is the same high quality Ambrose University College education provided in Calgary offered in a neighborhood near you.
Who are the professors?
Extension Education courses are taught by Ambrose professors or sessional professors who meet the same high quality standards as full-time Ambrose University College professors. Professors teaching in our Extension Education program this year include Ambrose Seminary faculty.
Why is Ambrose University College doing Extension Education?
Extension Education brings accredited theological education to individuals who have ministry or family commitments that keep them from traveling to Calgary for schooling. It allows individuals who are working in full-time ministry to upgrade their skills while continuing their active involvement in local church ministry. Extension Education is also valuable to lay people who want to improve their ministry skills or who are contemplating a second career in full-time or part-time ministry as they finish up their first career. For those contemplating going to Calgary for a degree, Extension Education provides a means for people to get a taste of Ambrose education close to their own community. Extension Education can also be used to complete a degree already begun in Calgary.
Ambrose Extension Education courses are fully accredited by The Association of Theological Schools (ATS) and may be applied towards degree programs at Ambrose Seminary. In addition, relevant Ambrose credits are widely accepted as contributing to degrees at other ATS accredited schools.
