Students Looking for Work?
Many of our students work part–time. If you are new to Calgary and are looking for part-time employment please visit the Career Development Centre on the 2nd floor or browse through our website Resources and Links or the Job Board which have some great links to help you in your career planning and job search.
The City of Calgary's Youth Employment Centre is another resource for looking for part–time and full–time work. It is a government funded service for student between the ages of 15 and 24 and is open to cater to summer students. It is located on the 2nd floor of 315–10th Avenue SE. Regular drop in hours are from 9:30—3:30 Monday through Friday, beginning in May through to August each year.
Employment for International Students
International Students should contact the International Student Coordinator in room A2011, for the various Employment regulations for international students studying in Canada. There are limitations and guidelines for US and foreign students employment therefore international students should check with the International Student Coordinator for more information as well as the immigration authorities before seeking or accepting any forms of employment.
