Head Coach
Marla Hershmiller
Marla is in her 2nd year as head coach of the Ambrose Lions Women's Volleyball team. Marla brings a wealth of experience through her many years of playing volleyball, including three years with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in the Canadian Interuniveristy Sport (CIS) league. Marla is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Scence in Kinesiology.
Marla's Coaching Philosophy:
"I believe sport is an avenue to develop skills and build character that the players will be able to use in life. These skills include such things as work ethic, perseverance, commitment, discipline, fair play and determination. I enjoy assisting others to be all that God created them to be - mind, body and spirit."
Assistant Coach
Amanda Archibald
Amanda returns to the women's volleyball team this year as an assistant coach. She has a lot of volleyball experience, playing it for the better part of her life and coaching it at various levels, most recently at Branton Junior High as well as girls club volleyball. Amanda spent 2 years at Mount Royal College working towards a Kinesiology degree and now has aspirations to specialize in the area of rehabilitation therapy. Her volleyball knowledge and experience as well as her positive attitude are a welcome addition to the coaching staff.
