Women's Volleyball Roster
The 2009-10 season for the Ambrose Lions Women's volleyball team is shaping up to be one of the best ones yet. The Lions enter the year with a brand new coach, Phil Wideman, who brings a wealth of talent and coaching experience as well as high expectations for what will be a young Lion squad. A good core of veterans will be returning, including second year middle Hannah Blake, 2nd year power Jahnaya Cey and captain and 3rd year setter Kelly Sagan. The team is also excited to add some new recruits. Jessica Blake, Katelyn Wideman and Michelle Willms lead the rookie crop, and many more will push for starting spots on this team. The Lions host the ACAL Championship on November 20-21 and expect to be in the mix come championship weekend.

Head Coach
Phil Wideman
Phil Wideman enters as a rookie head coach to the Ambrose Lions, but he is certainly not a rookie when it comes to volleyball experience. Phil has spent many years involved in the sport of volleyball; most recently developing a solid program at Bearspaw Christian School. He will focus on skill and technique and will challenge his team to play with character and with integrity. He is a welcome addition to the Lions coaching staff.
