Women's Volleyball 2007-2008
The Ambrose Lions Women's Volleyball finished up the 2007 year with a 4th place finish in the ACAL. The team had high hopes heading into the season and had a very good start. After the first 7 games the team was 5 and 2 and in the hunt for top spot in the league.
Then the team struggled, losing 4 in a row before ending the regular season with a win. That win was crucial as it enable the team to clinch the 4th and final playoff spot. Unfortunately they lost a couple key players to injury and illness and went into the playoffs less than 100%.
Bre Mashinter was named to the All-Conference team and she lead the team all year long. But Coach Hershmiller was very pleased with a solid rookie crop and with the likes of Brianna Clark, Kelly Sagan, Cheryl Friedrich and Kandace Deadon returning next year, the team looks to be in good shape for the future.
