Women’s Basketball 2007-2008

The 2007-08 version of the Ambrose Lions Women's Basketball team looked really good at the Hoopfest tourney in Edmonton where they won a couple games and contended for a playoff spot in the tournament.  After beginning the regular season without a win through their first 7 games, the girls have shown incredible improvement and signs that they are getting better.  They are a really young team and Coach Campbell has done a great job working with the girls to develop skills and bring unity.

While the playoffs are not yet out of the question, the team is really focusing on the future and building for tomorrow.  The girls have been bolstered by the stellar play of rookie Brianna Clarck and veteran Alyssa Klassen.  Those two truly set the pace for the team, but clearly it is a team effort everytime they are on the floor.  While the record is not where they want it to be the girls remain positive and unified and that goes a long way in building for the future.

The girls are excited about the challenges that lay ahead as their schedule only gets more difficult as the season progresses, but look for this team to continue to improve.
